Numerical ability is often seen as a critical skill required for job performance. The Numeratum was developed with the purpose to assess a person’s ability to understand and accurately problem-solve using mathematical information. The Numeratum is suitable to use in high volume administration such as graduate selection with scores available in a handy excel extract to sort suitable candidates based on the strength of their numerical reasoning ability.
The Numeratum consists of the following subscales:
Number Problems: Ability to solve basic mathematical problems involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Patterns: Ability to identify and utilise patterns in numerical data to solve problems.
Interpretation: Ability to read and interpret numerical information presented in graphs.
Applications:
The Numeratum can be used for screening, competency-based selection, training, and are recommended for entry-level or supervisory jobs that require Grade 12 (NQF level 4) mathematical proficiency.
Reports:
Candidate Report: Provides an indication of the way the candidate understands and works with numerical information.
Professional Report: Analyses a candidate's responses and offers insights into how they understand and utilise numerical information.
