JVR Psychometrics Integrated Reports: Safety Profile Report

Describes a candidate's safety attitude and/or behaviour.

Most safety models identify two crucial aspects of workplace behaviour that contribute to a safe work environment:

1.      Compliance: This refers to following established safety protocols and procedures. It not only includes behaviours like wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE), adhering to safe work practices, and demonstrating attentiveness to detail, but also emotional control and resilience in challenging situations. Compliance ensures individuals fulfil basic safety requirements as part of their job roles.

2.      Safety Participation: This goes beyond simply following the rules. It involves actively engaging in behaviours that foster a positive safety culture. Examples include taking ownership of safety, reporting hazards and near misses, and collaborating effectively with colleagues and in teams to maintain a safe work environment. Safety participation reflects a proactive commitment to safety beyond just fulfilling minimum requirements.

The JVR Integrated Safety report evaluates these two distinct aspects by analysing an individual's safety behaviour based on the results of the Basic Traits Inventory (BTI) and Locus of Control Inventory (LCI). By understanding these behaviours organisations can develop comprehensive safety strategies that encourage both adherence to rules and active participation in safety initiatives.

Detailed Report Breakdown

The Safety Profile Report provides a structured breakdown of the assessment:

  • Safety Model: This section defines compliance and participation, along with the specific safety competencies associated with each.

  • Safety Scales Definition: Here, you'll find clear explanations of the safety model aspects (compliance and participation) and their corresponding competencies.

  • Interpretation Guide: Before interpreting the results, this section provides specific instructions on understanding the competency rating scales used in the report.

  • Results: This section presents a graph and a table summarising the individual's scores for each safety competency. Interpretations for each score range are included alongside relevant safety flags (if any) based on the results.

  • Strengths and Development Areas (Optional): This section, intended for personal development or coaching purposes, highlights an individual's safety strengths and areas for improvement within the workplace safety environment. It offers specific recommendations to address potential safety concerns based on the assessment results.
