Having a properly developed and functioning frontal lobe is essential to managing with the daily challenges of everyday life. Often when individuals are victims of traumatic brain injury, many of the observed changes in cognition and behaviour are as a result of frontal lobe damage. The Behavioural Assessment of the Dysexecutive Syndrome (BADS) assesses for Dysexecutive Syndrome, that is the range of planning, organisation, problem-solving, and attentional disorders. Clients with this syndrome may be less successful undergoing traditional intervention or rehabilitation programs, and as such, the BADS can be an invaluable resource in guiding practitioners in determining the best plan of action for their clients.
