Five months have passed since the EQ-i 2.0 became available internationally and it has been five full months indeed. We have had five EQ-i 2.0 trainings since August 2011, resulting in 50 new accredited EQ-i users. Our current training includes both the EQ-i and the EQ-i 2.0, and also includes accreditation training on the EQ360 on the third day. As the first mentioned is still the version with South African research and norms, we have decided to train on both the previous and the new version for the next few months. Those clients who wish to use the previous EQ-i because of the South African norms are welcome to do so until June 2012. Please be reminded that the first version will then be discontinued internationally. The research team has been liaising with Multi-Health Systems Inc. (MHS) in setting up the system for research. We will be working together with our accredited users with portal accounts to collect data on 1500 participants, stratified according to South African demographics. We will be monitoring the progress of the data collection to ensure that the South African normative sample is evenly distributed by gender and age, and matched to the South African Census based on race/ethnicity, geographic region and educational level. Please contact Nicola (nicola@jvrafrica.co.za) if you would like to assist us in the data collection. Many of our previously accredited clients have already moved over to the 2.0 version, with 92 new EQ-i 2.0 portal accounts created. This web application not only provides access to your new scoring organiser account, it also gives you access to an online resource centre and an online community of EQ-i users from all over the world. With you own portal account you can invite clients to complete the assessment, you can instantly score the administration and generate the required reports yourself. It will give you more accessibility, more insight, more connections and more confidence. If you are an accredited EQ-i user and you don’t have your own portal account yet, please contact Client Services (clientservices@jvrafrica.co.za) to help you in this regard. During the last five months we have also presented six free EQ-i 2.0 information sessions for our previously accredited EQ-i users. If you have not attended one of our information sessions, we recommend that you contact one of our advisors (+2711 781-3705 or email info@jvrafrica.co.za) to guide you through the changes. We are delighted by all the positive feedback we have received from clients on the revision. It is truly “a new experience” that takes psychological assessment and scoring to very interesting new levels. Please continue to share your experience with us.
