Concessions are often recommended for children and adults studying further to assist them in overcoming or better coping with the impact of SLD on their academic progress and functioning. In this session we will explore concessions further, the assessments required by different school governing institutions, and deciding on the best recommendations for specific kinds of difficulties. At the end of the workshop, we would not only have explored concessions in more depth, but we will also explore some ethical considerations in recommending specific concessions for children.
