Assessing Specific Learning Difficulties: Can the WISC-V and the WIAT-III help

Presented by: Adri Vorster

With an emphasis on the WISC-V and the WIAT-III, this two-day workshop will not only elaborate on these two assessment measures, but will specifically focus on the ways in which they can assist us in assessing children with a potential SLD. In addition, we will look at research conducted on these two measures in relation to children with SLD and potential difficulties in assessing South African children on two internationally developed assessment measures. At the end of the two days, we would have elaborated on our understanding of the WISC-V and the WIAT-III and their usefulness in assessing children with SLD.
